About this Micro Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)

Ninety-eight percent of a well’s life is spent either producing fluids or having fluids injected through the Completion Conduit. To ensure that the well is operated within certain parameters and appropriate safety factors are applied, understanding the sources or causes of the various annuli pressures is paramount. Following this Micro VILT, participants will understand the need to fully understand that MAASP and/or MAWOP and/or MOP require to be calculated, monitored, verified and recalculated, taking into account material degradation as well as the number of operating cycles the well has gone through. This module on Sustained Casing Pressure (SCP) - or as I prefer to refer to as UNEXPLAINED pressure - has been designed to give participants a basic understanding of the early warning message the well sends as well as some of the existing solutions to allow the management to consider the removal of the SCP. These solutions can be intrusive vs non-intrusive depending on the ability to access the areas of concerns.   Micro VILT Group Pricing: SGD$1,200 per pax (5 persons per group session) For more details on pricing for larger groups or customisation of course outline, call us at +65 6741 9927 or email [email protected].   Delivery of this Micro VILT: The Micro VILT will be delivered through Zoom, MS Teams or equivalent video conference platforms in combination with other online interactive training tools.   Micro VILT Duration: The Micro VILT will be delivered online in 1 session comprising 3.5 hours (GMT+8 Malaysia Time), with breaks.   Micro VILT Schedule Opt either for the morning or afternoon session. Morning session: 8.30am – 12.00pm Afternoon session: 1.30pm – 5.00pm   Micro VILT Course Materials: All participants will receive softcopy course materials (PDF format).   Breakdown of Modules: Module 1: Overview
  1. MAASP, MAWOP, MOP
  2. International Standards (ISO, API)
  3. Sources of Annulus Pressure
Module 2: Determining the Limits
  1. Initial Calculations, Operating Envelope
  2. Safety Factors, Degradation, Verification
  3. Recalculations, Investigative Solutions
Module 3: Sustained Casing Pressure (SCP)
  1. Managing, monitoring, understanding
  2. Causes, evaluation
  3. Solutions – intrusive v non-intrusive
Best Feature of the Micro VILT:
  1. The presentation.
  2. The competence of the instructor.
  3. Able to ask questions.
  4. Excellent visual presentation and communication with instructor.
  5. The virtual presentation is much preferred over having to travel to a training site!
  6. Being able to train from home.
  7. Hands-on experience from the trainer that further described what was actually occurring or that could occur in a downhole .
  8. The group collaboration.
  9. Discussions and the pressure gradient charts that illustrate the effects and pathways for pressure. Too many don't lend concern for the lower end of the 'typical' pressure ranges, which were intended to simplify procurement. From a safety perspective, it does not take much pressure to kill.
